Wake to calm seas and the gentle hum of the Gulet as it glides eastward along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Turquoise Coast. Breakfast is served on deck while passing Patara Beach, a golden ribbon of untouched sand that stretches for kilometres — wild, natural, and endlessly photogenic.
By mid-morning, we arrive in Kas, a charming harbour town filled with cobbled lanes, whitewashed houses, and flowering balconies. Families can stroll through the local shops, explore the small marina, or relax with an ice cream by the sea. For parents or older teens, optional scuba diving is available — Kas is known for calm, clear water and beginner-friendly dive sites.
After lunch onboard, we sail toward Kekova Island, passing slowly over the Sunken City, an ancient Lycian settlement now lying just beneath the surface. The ruins — old walls, steps, and doorways — can be clearly seen from the deck, sparking curiosity in travellers of all ages.
In the afternoon, we visit Simena Village, a peaceful coastal hamlet crowned by Simena Castle. The short walk to the top is rewarded with spectacular views over turquoise bays and the Kekova archipelago. Along the path, local women sell handmade ice cream — a sweet Sailnstay memory for kids and parents alike.
As the day ends, we anchor in Gökkaya Bay, a calm, sheltered spot surrounded by forested hills. Enjoy a refreshing swim before dinner, followed by a quiet evening on deck under a blanket of stars — the perfect close to another day of family adventure at sea.
Family Tip: Bring snorkel masks — the water around Kekova is shallow and full of small fish.
Don’t Miss: The walk to Simena Castle and the family photo from the top — one of the week’s best memories.
